According to a recent poll, 48% of Americans favor military action against Iran if Iran doesn't halt its nuclear program (against 40% opposed). According to THE SAME FUCKING POLL, only 12% of Americans think that military action would succeed in stopping Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

Am I reading this correctly? 36% of Americans -- a hundred million people -- favor using military action even though they themselves believe it wouldn't do any good?
